I'm Mia — an engineer and builder. What I enjoy most is taking a fuzzy idea and carrying it all the way to something real: shaped, shipped, and actually used by people.

I've done that at very different scales. At Google, I helped take agentic checkout from a 0→1 idea to a Google I/O launch (and a 2026 Webby Award for Best AI Agent). Today I build clinical AI at Abridge, where the bar isn't "impressive" — it's "trusted by a physician on a busy day."

The through-line is craft. I care about products that go beyond the demo: useful in messy real-world workflows, honest about their limits, and pleasant enough that people come back. The unglamorous half of that work — the testing and evaluation systems that keep quality honest — is a specialty I've grown to love.

The rest of the time I make small things for fun — most months something new ships.
